Compliance starts with ERISA. We help to ensure our clients understand the law, comply with the requirements of this law and supply our clients with a copy of our ERISA guide. We provide our clients with assistance in preparing their Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs), and make sure our employee benefit guides contain all the information on CHIPRA, Health Care Reform, and material modifications that are required to be presented to employees under the various laws governing their plans. We also assist our clients with required IRS Form 5500 filings for welfare plans.
Our human resource and management website, HRfuel Online, features a compliance section with guides on COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA and HIPAA Privacy, and Section 125 cafeteria plans. Information is available online concerning GINA, Michelle’s Law, and WHCRA. We also have a section of HRfuel Online dedicated solely to Health Care Reform. Legislative briefs that deal with new laws and changes in laws that govern benefit plans are furnished through our website as well.
In addition, we sponsor a seminar series called inForum where we host seminars and webinars on topics that our clients confront daily in running HR & benefit plans. Recent topics have included the change in the COBRA law, FMLA, ERISA, and Health Care Reform. Our other seminars include topics related to HR issues and wellness.
As part of the service model we provide for our clients we have an In-House attorney available for day to day issues that may arise in your office. The attorney will be accessible to assist with employment law issues and to answer employee benefits legal questions. If you have questions on how to use this service, please contact your agent or your account manager. This is a wonderful contact to have at your fingertips.
