Sustainable Midlands presents the annual Palmetto Tasty Tomato Festival, a celebration of locally grown food, people who grow it, restaurants who serve it, markets who sell it and the people who eat it. The festival will take place at the City Roots Urban Farm in Columbia and will feature a free heirloom tomato tasting from 4-7 pm, music, food and more. Musical guests include Bryson Jennings, Liz Brennen, Emily Hearn, Palmetto Blue, Willie Wells and The Blue Ridge Mountain Grass. Local restaurants will be serving local food with a tomato theme and there will be a craft beer garden. Kids can enjoy several activities including face painting, vegetable bingo and tomato bobbing. There will also be art by local artists, tours of the City Roots farm, and the exciting tasty tomato contest. Get your tickets today!!
