What are Alternate Funding Arrangements?

Alternate funding arrangements are hybrid plans developed since the Affordable Care Act was passed to bypass traditional Affordable Care Act (ACA) plans. These plans allow for underwriting and can rate based on risk and are not community rated. Not only underwriting, but groups also have the ability to get premium dollars back if your employees claims are not as much as expected. These plans can be good for all size groups from 15 to 250 employees that are currently fully funded. You also pay lower ACA taxes and fees on these plans than you would in a traditional health plan.
