What is Psoriasis?

Psoriasis is a disease that causes inflammation in the skin and on your body due to some disruption of the immune system. Normally skin cells shed from the body in about a month. With Psoriasis, instead of the skin cells flaking off, they become built up on the skin and cause plaque or scales.

Phototherapy where skin is exposed to UV Light to slow the growth of abnormal cells

Oral treatments, such as NSAIDs like ibuprofen or aspirin, or prescription drugs like Methotrexate
