36th Annual Labor Day Festival and Parade

Chapin’s 36th Annual Labor Day Festival and Parade is this weekend, and you will not want to miss out!
Day 1: Saturday, September 5th
What: Walk or Run a Crooked 5K benefiting Meals on Wheels
Where: Crooked Creek Park (1098 Old Lexington Hwy, Chapin, SC)
Time: Check-in at 7:00 am, race begins at 8:00 am
Cost: 5K race: $30, walk: $20, Kids Fun Run: free
Day 2: Sunday, September 6th
What: Concert on Beaufort Street featuring Anthony Charles and the Blues Dolphins
Where: Beaufort St, Chapin, SC 29036
Time: Street party begins at 6:00 pm, and the show will kick off at 6:30 pm
Cost: Free!
Eats: Carolina Cookin’ and Tipsy Toad Tavern will have food and beverages available for those in attendance, so bring a lawn chair but leave your coolers at home!
Day 3: Monday, September 7th
What: Labor Day Parade and Festival
Where: Parade will begin at 912 Chapin Road, other activities will occur on Beaufort Street & Clark Street
Time: 9:30 am
Cost: Free!
Activities: The annual parade will begin at 9:30 am to kick off a day full of fun in the sun. Visit the Classic Car Show in the Mt. Horeb Parking lot on Beaufort Street, browse local vendors, or take your kids to the Children’s Carnival for games and challenges. Head to the stage next to Tipsy Toad Tavern at 11:00 am to hear live music by Shelby Raye and the Keith Dominick Band, and cheer on competitors in the Labor Day Cupcake Eating Contest in between shows.
