Five Points 28th Annual Chili Cook-Off

Grab your family and your spoons and head to the Five Points 28th Annual Chili Cook-off tomorrow November 8th in Columbia, SC! The event will be held from 12:00-7:00pm in Five Points at Greene and Pavillion Streets and it’s FREE! Teams will battle to see who has the best chili and there will be different restaurants attending as well such as Pawley’s Front Porch, King Arthur cookies, and Cold Stone Creamery. Chili will be ready for tasting at 1:00 pm and there will be several different varieties to try including vegetarian chili, Texas chili (without beans) and non-traditional chili. There will also be a beer garden with five different beers available for purchase. All the proceeds from chili, beer and merchandise sales will go towards Camp Kemo. In, addition live music and entertainment will be provided (check below for the schedule) and 7 awards will be given out to those battling in the competition. Awards include Best Overall Chili, Best Set Up, and Silver Spoon Award, which was formerly people’s choice award but is now given to the team who raises the most money for Camp Kemo. It will be fun, delicious and all for a cause so get your taste buds ready!
