Gamecocks Run

In just one week, the University of South Carolina Athletic Department and Jam Active will be hosting the first annual Gamecocks Run. This will be a 6k run taking place in Columbia, SC on Saturday, February 28th, 2015. The race will start at 8:00am outside of William’s Brice Football Stadium. While running or walking, participants will get to pass through key athletic and campus landmarks. From Williams Brice, racers will pass the Softball Stadium at Beckham Field, then pass the Carolina Tennis Center. Afterwards, the route continues to pass the Dodie, Rice Athletic Center and Soccer Stone Stadium. On campus, racers will run by Thomas Cooper Library, the Moore School of Business, and the Horseshoe. Lastly, racers will cross the finish line at half court of the Colonial Life Arena. There will be post-race fueling with food and drinks. Runners will receive a metal, race shirt, a free ticket to the USC Women’s Basketball Game vs. Mississippi State on February 26th and a free ticket to the USC Men’s Basketball Game vs. Mississippi State on February 28th.
